My “real” job is that of a music teacher for a major school district (those who CAN, teach, everyone else is stuck having to find less meaningful work). I have my Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction in the arts. I enjoy an occasional drum circle and have been known to facilitate one now and then. I am very passionate about including drumming in my curriculum and have also written a number of arrangements and original compositions that include drum ensemble for elementary school performance and for church choir. My latest publication is a Kwaanza piece called “Nguzo Saba” (the 7 principles) which was recently published in the Nov/Dec 2007 issue of K-8 Music magazine. I am a member of NSAI (Nashville Songwriter’s Assoc. International) and am working at being published by a major publisher someday. I have also recently begun to perform in the Milwaukee, Kenosha, and Racine area hoping to someday expand my “horizons” especially during the summer months when I have off.
